Departing BiciBurro at 8:00 am, in 90 minutes we are in a spectacular oak woods in the Sierra de Quanajuato. To energize us, we will enjoy both a Mexican breakfast and a breathtaking vista at the Restaurante La Sierra. Then—cycle, cycle we start with an eight kilometer descent through a beautiful forest on the 17th-century Camino Real. This road was used by the Spanish to transport silver from Guanajuato to Mexico City. Several kilometers further on, we rest and enjoy and the impressive view of the Presa de Loreto, a reservoir built in the 17th century. Later we pass by aqueducts and a tunnel that were part of a grand irrigation system from that time that is still in use today. Leaving the forest, we head toward the Hacienda "San Joaquin de Las Trancas" one of the oldest in Northern Guanajuato.
Optional: We can go to the La Gruta for comida and drinks and return to San Miguel in the BurroMobile. And after, siesta!
